Gin-lovers listen up, there’s an exclusive pop-up heading your way this Friday, 25th August.
Liverpool’s Camp and Furnace announced today that they’ll be hosting a Liverpool Gin takeover as part of the popular venue’s weekly Nightgarden event.
Nightgarden, which has taken place every Friday night since launching in 2016, mixes music, food and drink in an indoor garden setting, complete with towering trees, and hidden games areas for customers.
There’s also a pop-up restaurant from the city’s Izakaya restaurant, who are currently guesting at the large-scale event and who are offering a mouthwatering menu of fresh sushi and delicious Japanese dishes.
Liverpool Gin will be bringing a number of gins with them for customers to experience on Friday, along with their namesake, they include the floral Mary-le-bone, the citrus Liverpool Valencia, Whitley Neill Quince, City of London Old Tom and of course the massively popular Liverpool Gin itself.
Two gins to look out for are Whitley Neill Handcrafted Dry Gin, in its recognisable matt black bottle and the intriguingly named JJ Whitley Nettle which makes its Nightgarden debut.
Distilled with nettles (they’re cooked to remove the sting!) they produce a delicious, zingy, ‘green’ flavour and add to the heavy herbaceous aromas of citrus and coriander – making it the perfect choice to drink in the Greenland Street venue’s natural garden setting.
The Liverpool Gin team will be offering a number of specialist serves, as well as a comprehensive selection of flavoured tonics by Lamb and Watt, including Cucumber, Basil and Hibiscus.
The ideal way to kick off the Bank Holiday weekend, entry to Nightgarden is free, with doors opening to guests at 6pm, and running until late.
